Recent hebben de AB leden mogen ontvangen de samenvatting van het rapport begrotingsvergelijking 2006 ‘beleidsambities en lastendruk van waterschappen vergeleken’.

Uit tabel 15 blijkt dat de Brabantse Delta (BD) geen gegevens heeft verstrekt over het percentage regionale keringen dat in de legger is opgenomen. In de vergelijking over 2005 bleek dat het percentage regionale keringen, dat voldeed aan de met door de provincie vastgestelde veiligheidseisen, op 1 januari 2005 nul was.
Het nu niet verstrekken van gegevens lijkt op het verdoezelen van niet welgevallige cijfers.

Net als vorig jaar heeft binnen ons werkgebied slechts zeer weinig gemeenten een stedelijk baggerplan. Met 19 % van de gemeenten met een stedelijk baggerplan, in het kader van het tienjarenscenario, scoren wij het laagst van alle waterschappen. De mediaan is 80 %. Een gemiste kans om uit die subsidiepot te eten en iets goeds te doen voor het milieu. Hier breekt onze lankmoedigheid richting gemeenten ons op.

gerealiseerd. Daarmee is de BD de risee van alle waterschappen. De mediaan is 85 %. De slechtste andere collega haalt 50 %.
Ondergetekende roept reeds jaren: pak die gemeenten aan. Laat de zijden handschoenen eens thuis en neem handhavende maatregelen c.q. nagel de nalatige gemeenten nu eens aan de schandpaal c.q. roep de provincie op tot actie.
