Gisteren, zaterdag 15 november, is er bij de inwoners van het werkgebied van het waterschap Brabantse Delta een per adres unieke kaart op de deurmat gevallen die niet alleen per adres uniek was maar ook per straat. Tijdens de straatcampagne is ondergetekende herhaalde malen aangesproken over deze grove vorm van geldverspilling en milieubederf. De kaart, gedrukt op glanzend foto papier, bevat gezien haar aard veel milieubedervende stoffen, hetgeen naar het inzicht van Ons Water niet bijdraagt aan een goed milieuvriendelijk imago van het waterschap. Tevens straalt de kaart niet het kostenbewustzijn uit dat Ons Water voorstaat.
Wat ook veel ontvangers van de kaart verbaast is dat het waterschap klaarblijkelijk geen verstand heeft van wie de kans loopt op natte voeten. De kaart met de tekst “Houdt u op nummer….. de voeten liever droog?”, met een afbeelding waar het water tot het straatnaambordje reikt, werd ook bezorgd op plaatsen waar de straat op bijvoorbeeld 13 meter boven ANP ligt en de omgeving veel lager. Kortom hiermee wordt een verkeerd en gelukkig onjuist beeld gegeven. Wie verzint nu zo iets onzinnigs en duur?
Als vervolg op ons schrijven van 14 november verzoekt Ons Water Uw stembureau om ook een uitslag te geven van de stemmen die op basis van het niet overeenkomen van het geboortejaar met de code op de antwoordenveloppe ongeldig verklaard zijn. Dan kan inzicht verkregen worden van de gevolgen van de voor kiezers verwarrende stemprocedure.
